Pallavi :

Charanam:

Notes:
1.According to the sthalapurana, Daksha performs a yagna where Shiva was not invited and Parvati attends the yajna. After being insulted there she returns and jumps into a fire and is born as a pea hen in Mayuram and worships Shiva here. Hence the reference to nIlakantha in this composition.
nIlakantha is used in two senses - one to mean the blue-necked peahen and the other as in Shiva whose neck is blue due to the act of swallowing the AlakAla that arose during the churning of the ocean of milk.
